正在听的音乐—YUI -《It’s all too much / Never say die》单曲

YUI -《It’s all too much / Never say die》单曲,YUI新出的单曲了,熟悉的声音唱出不了一样的曲调。

Windows 7

My Hometown Wafangdian

My hometown is Wafangdian. It is part of Dalian, located in Liaoning province. Wafangdian is located in mid-latitude areas, with a warm temperate continental monsoon climate, four distinct seasons. Wafangdian is a seaside city, and covers an area of 3793.5 square kilometers. It’s a great city with long history and beautiful scenery. People lived here as early as 5 thousands years ago. About 100 years ago the city was called Fuxian. After new China was founded, the name became Wafangdian.

Wafangdian is rich in mineral deposits such as gold silver and diamond. It is know as “Diamond City in the East” and contains 54 percents of the explored diamond deposit of China. But I have never seen any gold or silver mining company since I was born here. There is actually a diamond company in Wafangdian. People can see the big diamond logo on top of the company building from far away. There is also a bus stop there to prove it really exists. But after tens of years of mining there is almost no diamond resource in Wafangdian now. It is strange that none of my friends or their parents work in the diamond company. I never see real diamond in Wafangdian even in the city’s TV shows. That bothered me for a while when I was young. Maybe since there is no diamond resource here, the diamond company just goes bankrupt.

Wafangdian has a population of 1.02 million according to the vital statistics in 2006, and two thirds of it is agricultural population. There are 24 minorities besides the Han nationality in our city such as Mongols, Koreans, Muslims, Manchu and so on. My father lived in a Manchu village for several years when he was young. My families have relatives there and we visit them every year. Usually they kill pigs to host guests in New Year’s Day. You can taste the authentic dish pig then. Besides that people in Manchu village have the same living habits and costumes as Han people now.

Wafangdian is rich in agricultural resources. There are 93 kinds of planted crops here. Wafangdian is also called “Home of Apple”. My family has a relative in the country, and the apple output of his family is over 10 tons every year. I can still remember that when I was young, transport wasn’t as good enough. There were only few kinds of fruits we could eat in the winner, and apple was people’s favorite fruit. Every family bought lots of apple, maybe a hundred kilograms when we got a good crop of apples in autumn. There are several kinds of apple, such as Guoguang, Red Fushi, Yellow Fushi and so on. People sit on the kang(a heat able brick bed), eat apple when they watching TV and eat dish pig at meals, that’s the typical life of Wafangdian people in winner.

Also the city has a coast line of 461 kilometers and useful beach area is 18000 hectares. Besides kinds of fish, there are sea cucumber, prawn and lots of other aquatic product. There is a famous sea cucumber company called Bangchui Island Sea Cucumber Corporation. The product has been sold to several cities and still far sold abroad in the meantime. In Wafangdian the biggest benefit for your stomach is you can eat fresh sea fish and other aquatic product all over the year. Even in winner Arctic shrimp is first landed here, and that tastes extremely delicious. Since the price of fish is cheaper here, and eating fish is healthier than meat, we can see more fish in the dining table.

Wafangdian is also an industry city, and famous for bearings. There are over 40 bearings factories in the city. They produce 10 types, 4000 standards of bearing. Our bearings are sold well throughout China as well as 80 countries all over the world. Wafangdian establishes a big bearing specialized market called Wafangdian Bearings Trade Center. Bearings factories have the best benefit in the city. Walking around Wafangdian you can see bearings advertisements everywhere. Bearings factories are crowed in the north of the city. Lots of people work in bearings factories. For several decades it’s the basic and mainstay industry of city’s economy.

Hongyanhe nuclear power plant is located in Wafangdian Donggang Township. It is the first nuclear power plant in the northeast part of China. The construction of the nuclear power plant began in 2007, and will be completed in 2012-2014. The plant will begin full commercial operation then. The plant’s first-stage construction will build 4 set of million Kw pressurized water reactor nuclear power units. Comparing with coal-fired power plants, nuclear power plants reduce the carbon dioxide emissions. It is clean energy and good for the environment. The construction of the plant also creates a lot of job opportunities for people in Wafangdian. I have heard several friends of me want to work there. On the other hand, we also concern about the secure problems. People may afraid of having a nuclear power plant beside their city. Nuclear just sound horrible for ordinary people. But one thing is for sure that since it has been constructed, it is good for our economy, and we shall just accept it.

Wafangdian is also a tourist city with beautiful scenery. There are lots of human landscape, beautiful beach and many islands. Xianyuwan Travel Resort is cited as state-list AAA standard travel resort. This summer I went to the seaside with my family. It’s only less than one hour drive. The sky is blue, the sand is soft, and the water is worm. You can have this kind of life every week, far from the busy city. It makes me happy every time I think about it.

Changing Island is part of Wafangdian, and it is the fifth largest island in China, and the biggest island in the north of Long River. It is now a new development zone. The construction of the development zone is still at an initial stage and already attracts large foreign investment. Now there are many foreign people live here mostly from Korea and Japan. The government prepared to build international school here. Recently even Harbin Institute of Technology decides to build building for teachers and staff. It can be sure that Wafangdian is a city you want to live in.

Geek

Geek
